IBCS Community School

From December 4th to 6th, the Community Engagement Initiative (CEI) Team traveled to San Jose, CA, for our first in-person conference. The CEI grant (https://californiaengage.org/) is designed to deepen our understanding of community schools and provide vital support for this new initiative. It offers valuable opportunities for professional development, equipping us with the skills and knowledge needed to address educational challenges and advocate effectively for students’ needs.

The CEI Team is made up of staff, family members, and students.

The Community Engagement Initiative grant (https://californiaengage.org/) will help us learn more about Community Schools and support us with this new initiative. It will also offer opportunities for professional development to equip us with skills and knowledge to address educational challenges and effectively advocate for students’ needs.

I’ve included the dates below to keep in mind (These dates are separate from our Steering Committee meeting dates):

December 5th-6th: will be in San Jose, CA (they will cover hotel and flights for everyone, *Parking and meals will be covered.)
February 27th-28th: will be in Ontario, CA
May: Details TBD
